Brett Hundley is a Managing Director in the ESG Advisory practice on the Strategic Communications team. Mr. Hundley has more than 15 years of experience in capital markets, with sector expertise spanning the consumer, specialty chemical and alternative/renewable energy landscapes. He has worked on both equity and credit engagements across the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Africa during his career, advising institutional clients on investment recommendations and strategic transactions. He has broad-based experience analyzing companies within varying investment disciplines and wide-ranging market capitalizations.
As a senior member of FTI Consulting’s ESG Advisory practice, Mr. Hundley guides corporate clients through sustainability initiatives related to materiality assessments, reporting frameworks and disclosures, ESG ratings, strategy and risk mitigation, communications and KPI and goal development.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Hundley was a Managing Director at Seaport Global, focusing on the cannabis, food additive and specialty chemical sectors. Under his leadership, Seaport was one of the first U.S. investment banks to establish formal coverage of the North American cannabis sector, allowing the firm to become a prominent credit financier of this burgeoning industry. Prior to Seaport, he worked at the Vertical Group and BB&T Capital Markets as a Senior Equity Research Analyst covering a wide range of sectors across consumer, specialty chemical and alternative/renewable energy.
Mr. Hundley is a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) Charterholder. He graduated from the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Finance and Virginia Tech with an M.S. in Natural Resources and Global Sustainability. His research within the sustainability field includes corporate sustainability planning, global reporting standards and frameworks, environmental law, climate adaptation, and systems mapping for various natural resources.
