Dearborn Heights treasurer earns leadership certificate from Harvard – Dearborn Press and Guide

Dearborn Heights Treasurer Lisa Hicks-Clayton announced March 31 that she had completed the requirements to earn the Harvard Business School Certificate of Specialization in Leadership and Management.
The certification is earned when an individual successfully completes three programs in the field. Hicks-Clayton has completed the Leadership Principles certification, Management Essentials certification, Financial Accounting certification, Leading with Finance certification, Power and the Influence for Positive Impact certification.
She was first elected treasurer in 2020 for a partial term, and was re-elected for a full term at the following election.
Hicks-Clayton, 57, is a 14-year-resident of Dearborn Heights, and has served on the city council for eight years prior to switching to the treasurer’s office.
Hicks-Clayton has served with a variety of charity groups and organizations, including the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association, the Salvation Army Advisory Council, and the Kiwanis Club of Dearborn Heights.
